EcoCal® Shell Calcium Oxide (powder) is made from recycled golden clam shells sourced from Li Chuan Aquafarm in Hualien, Taiwan — a clean, antibiotic-free, and drug-residue-free freshwater farm. The shells are calcined at over 1,000°C, followed by three stages of filtration and air classification to ensure they are monitored for heavy metals, microbial content, and other quality standards. Carefully refined through multiple safety and quality checks, it becomes a food-grade, natural alkaline ingredient that disinfects, deodorizes, and degreases— certified 100% natural by ECOCERT in France.

Mechanism & Effectiveness:

• EcoCal® Shell Calcium Oxide releases reactive oxygen when in contact with water, rupturing bacterial cell membranes and effectively disinfecting, adsorbing impurities, and eliminating odors.

• SGS tests show that it achieves a sterilization rate of over 99% against Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella, antibiotic-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, and Candida albicans.

Instructions:

• Can be used as a produce wash for vegetables, fruits, eggs, and more. Effectively breaks down pesticides, reduces chemical residues, and helps maintain freshness. Usage: Mix 6 level scoops (approx. 3g) of EcoCal® Shell Calcium Oxide powder with 1 liter of tap water. The solution can be reused a few times. Soak produce for about 3 minutes each time, then rinse thoroughly with water before cooking or eating.

• Make your own natural disinfectant solution by mixing EcoCal® Shell Calcium Oxide powder with water and storing it in a spray bottle. When kept sealed (with a cap or nozzle that prevents air exposure) and stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, the solution remains effective for up to one year. This product is only slightly soluble in water, so some sedimentation is normal — simply shake well before each use.

• When sprayed on surfaces, the EcoCal® shell calcium oxide disinfectant solution provides up to 24 hours of antibacterial protection — as long as the surface is not deliberately contaminated (e.g., touched with unwashed hands after using the restroom).
