The Sustainable Way
Zero Waste
In 2020, Picupi launched the "WEARING CHANGE" product plan, considering five stages of the product life cycle: sourcing raw materials, manufacturing, packaging and transportation, use, and disposal/recycling. At each stage, we seek solutions with the goal of achieving a closed-loop circular economy, focusing on cradle-to-cradle design principles to minimize resource waste while reducing carbon footprint as much as possible.
Sustainable
We are committed to developing a brand of household cleaning products that are healthy, safe, and free from additives. Our full range of products utilizes recycled EcoCal®, which is produced by high-temperature calcination of discarded gold clam shells from the Li Chuan Aquafarm in Hualien. This natural antibacterial agent has been confirmed by SGS to have a disinfection rate of over 99%. Our products are free from formaldehyde, preservatives, fluorescent agents, and bleaching agents, with biodegradability over the rate of 97%. The packaging includes bottles made from 100% post-consumer recycled HDPE plastic and caps made from recycled PP plastic. Additionally, we use recycled paper and soy ink for printing packaging materials.
Reusable
We use 100% post-consumer recycled plastic to make rHDPE bottles, rPP bottle caps, and spray bottle nozzles, all of which are made from 100% plastic materials. To enhance the purity of recycled materials for recyclability, we utilize recycled paper and soy ink printing for paper packaging, instead of printing directly on bottles or plastic shrink wrap. To ensure the traceability of our products, we collaborate with third-party verified supply chains, including Da Fon Environmental Technology Co., LTD., Living Fountain Plastic Industrial Co., Ltd., and Cheng Loong Corp., that is to verify the origin and composition of our products.
